Welong Supply Chain can manufacture Body for piston-type drill bit. This type bit usually utilizes air within the cylinder as the fluid meidum. This type of drill bit uses compressed air as a power source to perform drilling operations during underground mining. By controlling the flow and pressure of the air, the piston-type drill bit is capable of drilling into and extracting rock samples. It is commonly used in geological exploration, mining development, and other applications that require sampling of rocks or soils.
The material of the body for Piston-type Drill Bit should be an excellent alloy steel with good quenching degree, with good strength and toughness under quenching + high temperature tempering; with higher fatigue strength and lower sensitivity to notch; also, with good oxidation resistance and stable metallurgical structure. This steel grade can be customized as per client’s requirements.
The connections of the body for Piston-type Drill Bit can be as per DIN 513-2020 (metric buttress threads), or as per another standard specified by client. In case client is unable to provide the related thread gauge, we can assist in customizing the thread gauge, and the cost of the thread gauge will be on client’s account for sample order, but the cost will be offset against payment of batch order.
The body’s external and internal surface hardness is able to reach 40~47HRC based on our improved production process.
The surface roughness of the inner hole in some areas of the body is Ra0.8 and it requires honing. Some of the internal hole slots are difficult to machine and inspect. We will convene cross-departmental meetings to discuss machining methods and inspection techniques until we effectively resolve the issue and satisfy the customer.
