1.Introduction of tools

The hole opener is a micro eccentric reamer, which can be connected to the drill string to achieve micro reaming while drilling. The tool has two groups of spiral reamer blades. The lower blade group is responsible for the reaming while drilling or the positive reaming during the drilling process, and the upper blade group is responsible for the reverse reaming during the drilling process. The main function of the tool is to reduce the severity of the dogleg in the directional well, remove the downhole micro-doglegs and small steps, and expand the borehole with a diameter slightly larger than the theoretical diameter of the drill bit in the expansive shale formation and the creeping salt-gypsum layer, soft mudstone layer, coal seam and other well sections, which can reduce the reaming operation time in the conventional drilling process and ensure the safe and smooth operation of tripping, electric logging, casing running and expansion packer. In addition, the tool also has the function of removing cuttings bed in directional wells and effectively controlling ECD of horizontal wells and extended reach wells.

3. Structural characteristics

·  A single component, no moving parts, the strength is higher than the strength of the drill pipe connected with it
