Introduction and Application Scenarios of 4330 Forged Parts

1. Introduction to 4330 forged parts

Alloy steel 4330 alloy steel is a kind of high-strength, fatigue-resistant and high-endurance low-alloy steel. After forging, it can be used in high-load, high-impact industrial scenarios. This material is widely used in oil and gas, aerospace, military industry, heavy machinery and other industries, especially for parts with high load and explosive explosion conditions.

1.1 4330 material characteristics

Sin heat freezing: After heat treatment, it can reach 1030-1380 MPa tensile strength.

Good toughness: Even in low temperature environment, it has good impact toughness.

Parts with high wear resistance.: Suitable for high-friction parts used for a long time.

Parts with fatigue resistance: Suitable for parts with high frequency antenna cycles.

Good weldability (pre- and post-heat treatment). (Pre- and post-heat treatment is required).

2. Common application scenarios of 4330 forged parts

2.1 Oil and gas industry

Application characteristics:Forged parts have excellent performance: 4330 forged parts have strong corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance and wear resistance, suitable for high pressure and high invoice environment.

Typical parts:

l  Drill pipe joint (Tool Joint); the connection between the drill pipe and the drill bit needs to bear the load force: used for the connection between the drill pipe and the drill bit, it needs to bear the anode and impact anode.

l  Drill collar (Drill Collar): improving the stability of the device: increase the weight of the drill bit and improve the stability of the equipment.

l  Downhole tools (downhole tools): including blowout preventer components, stabilizers, etc., require high strength and corrosion resistance.

2.2 Aerospace

Application: Features Aerospace parts require high strength, light weight and high fatigue resistance.

Typical parts:

l  Landing Gear Components: bearing the impact damping when the aircraft lands.

l  High-Strength Fasteners: used for aircraft structural connections, subject to strong vibration and torque.

l  Transmission Shaft: used for power transmission, requiring high load-bearing capacity.
