1. Introduction to reamer

The reamer is a tool used in oil drilling. Its working principle is to use the scouring effect of the liquid flow and the rotating cutting effect of the drill bit to break the rock, and at the same time wash the cuttings out of the wellbore. 2. Working principle of reamer

The working principle of the reamer is to use the scouring effect of the liquid flow and the rotating cutting effect of the cutting tool to break the rock and remove it from the wellbore. Specifically, when the reamer while drilling reaches the predetermined position, the control valve opens, and high-pressure fluid enters the cutting tool through the motor and transmission shaft, impacting and cutting the rock, and flushing the cuttings out of the wellbore. As the tool rotates and advances, the wellbore diameter gradually expands. After reaching a predetermined value, the control valve closes and the tool stops working, completing the hole expansion process.

3. Application scenarios of reamer

Reamers are widely used in the extraction process of oil, natural gas and other oil and gas resources. The reamer can play an important role in different well types such as vertical wells, inclined wells, and horizontal wells. Especially under some complex geological conditions, such as high rock hardness and unstable formations, reamers while drilling can effectively improve oil and gas production efficiency.
